Mizzou recruit breaks national TD record

October 15, 2011 By Bill Pollock

Top Missouri football recruit Maty Mauk, a senior QB from Kenton High School (Kenton, OH), broke the national mark for touchdown passes by throwing eight TD’s while going 32 of 47 for 491 yards in a 70-33 win over Celina. He also rushed for two TDs and gained 102 yards.

Mauk had 181 TD passes and was just four away from breaking his brother Ben’s national mark going into last night’s game. He is now the new national record holder.

He recently broke the national career completions record which was 1,136. He now has 1,203. He is second nationally in career passing attempts (1,865) and passing yards (16,670), both behind his brother, who is helping coach Maty this season.
