The CEO of Missouri Corn, Gary Marshall, says atrazineĀ is safe for commercial use, and the studies Biology Professor Tyrone Hayes presented are flawed. Marshall says he’s known Hayes for years, and his research hasn’t ever been duplicated by anyone else.

Marshall says atrazineĀ has been used for years in Missouri and has not been found to cause cancer or even to be the cause of the frog deformations that Hayes talked about. Marshall says atrazine is extremely cheap and effective; he says it saves growers 30 dollars an acre, which adds up to about 90 million dollars a year.
