Ford Motor Company is going to start building a full-size European van called the Transit at its Claycomo plant. It’s also going to add a second shift of workers building the F-series pickup trucks.
Reports in Detroit say the commitment is part of Ford’s new contract with the Auto Workers Union. Ford will be adding 16-hundredd jobs at Claycomo in the next four years.

The Union still has to approve the contract. The deal commits Ford to investing more than one-billion dollars at Claycomo.
The legislature passed a tax incentive package last year designed to keep production lines going at Claycomo.
