Missouri Soldier dies following attack in Afghanistan

A Missouri soldier has died in Germany of wounds sustained during an attack in Afghanistan.

32 year-old First Sergeant Billy J. Siercks of Velda Village was wounded in an attack September 27 in Logar, Afghanistan when his unit was attacked by insurgents. 

He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 10th Aviation Regiment, 10th Combat Aviation Brigade, 10th Mountain Division out of Fort Drum, New York.
