The St. Louis Cardinals have begun taking pre-registrations from fans interested in purchasing tickets for any potential National League Championship Series and World Series games to be played at Busch Stadium in 2011.

Tickets for the NL Championship Series will go on sale Thursday, October 6th and tickets for the World Series will go on sale Monday, October 10th. As in previous years, in order to make NL Championship Series & World Series tickets available to as many people as possible through an efficient and fair process, fans must pre-register at cardinals.com by Noon CDT on Tuesday, October 4th. A random drawing will take place to have the opportunity to purchase tickets online. Tickets will not be available at Busch Stadium, ticket outlets or over the phones.

The online registration will work as follows:

Thursday, September 29 through Tuesday, October 4 at noon.

• Cardinals’ fans may log on to cardinals.com and register for a chance to purchase NLCS & WS tickets.

Wednesday, October 5th

• NL Championship Series winners will be notified by e-mail. The e-mail will provide winners instructions on how to purchase tickets on Thursday, October 6th.

Saturday, October 8th

• World Series winners will be notified by e-mail. The e-mail will provide winners instructions on how to purchase tickets on Monday, October 10th.

NL Championship Series winners will have the opportunity to purchase up to four (4) tickets for one (1) game out of the three (3) possible NLCS games at Busch Stadium. World Series winners will have the opportunity to purchase up to two (2) tickets for one (1) game out of the four (4) possible WS games at Busch Stadium.

Seat locations will be sold on a first-come basis. The exact number of seats available is unknown until the Cardinals receive final commitments from Major League Baseball. Ticket prices start at just $40 for the NL Championship Series and just $50 for the World Series.

Cardinals season ticket holders had the first opportunity to purchase tickets for all playoff and World Series games as one of their many benefits. All season ticket orders have been fulfilled.
