Body found in Lake Springfield

September 29, 2011 By Brian Hauswirth

Two men fishing at Lake Springfield got more than they bargained for when they pulled what turned out to be a body from the lake Wednesday night. Springfield police Lieutenant Vance Holland says they know who the victim is because there was identification on the body. He says the name will not be released yet.

Holland says there are no signs of foul play, and no indication of how long the victim had been in the water.
