The Kansas City Royals brought out their bats last night on the south side of Chicago as they pounded the White Sox, 11-1.  Eric Hosmer, Salvador Perez, Alcides Escobar and Jeff Francoeur all hit home runs for Kansas City.Bruce Chen allowed just two hits over his 8 innings of work. 

Kansas City would score runs in all but four innings.  Mike Moustakas would go 4 for 5 in the game.  Perez would drive in three runs, while Francouer and Hosmer would each have two RBI’s. 

The Royals have now won nine of their last 11 games.

The two teams play again tonight with Everett Teaford getting the start against Chicago’s John Danks.
