Dan Beebe, who has taken a lot of heat for the position the Big 12 Conference has been placed in, was working on an agreement Wednesday to leave his position as commissioner, according to two sources for the Kansas City Star. The announcement of Beebe’s departure is expected to come Thursday.

What I’ve been reading is that, according to sources, Oklahoma would only stay in the Big 12 if Commissioner Beebe stepped down or was forced out and if regulations were made to Texas’ Longhorn Network.

Texas Athletic Director DeLoss Dodds said his school would consider plans for revenue sharing with other Big 12 schools, but the deal with the Longhorn Network is non-negotiable.
