The Republic school board has decided it’s okay after all for students to read a couple of books the board had ordered removed from the school library two months ago. But the board says Kurt Vonnegut’s “Slaughter House Five” and Sarah Ockler’s “Twenty Boy Summer” will be stored in a secure section. Students can only check out the books with parental permission.
