The state lottery says it’s had a record-breaking month. It has transferred more money to the state education fund than ever before — more than $29 million dollars.
The previous record of $27.7 million dollars put into the funds in February 2007.
About one-fourth of the lottery’s proceeds go to education, making up only a small part of the state’s education budget.
