The U.S. Department of Agriculture has declared 23 counties in parts of northeast, northwest and central Missouri natural disaster areas due to excessive rain and flooding continuing since May 1. The declaration makes natural disaster assistance available to farmers in the following counties:

  • Lafayette                    
  • Saline
  • Buchanan                   
  • Cooper

  • St. Louis
  • Callaway                    
  • Franklin                      
  • Moniteau                    
  • Warren
  • Carroll                        
  • Holt                            
  • Montgomery

The declaration also includes the City of St. Louis and 42 contiguous counties in Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska and Kansas.

Assistance includes low-interest emergency loans from USDA’s Farm Service Agency and other farm programs.
