Missouri House leadership says the economic development bill is going to have a hard time when it hits the floor for debate. Speaker of the House Steven Tilley says the version of the bill that came out of the Senate is not a bill he’s prepared to vote for.

He says he won’t be working on the version of the bill he filed in the House though. He says there will be amendments to the Senate bill which dropped the Aerotropolis provision after questions of how portions of it would be funded. He says the Compete Missouri plan is also not part of the agreed upon deal. He says most of those he made a deal with tried to make it work, but not everyone cooperated.

Tilley says the bill will be in committee early next week and hit the floor mid-next week.
