The Missouri House got through all the bills they had to send to the Senate in the first week of special session. Leadership says now, the House is just waiting for itsĀ counterpart to make a move.

The Speaker of the House says he has no intention of taking up the economic development bill before the Senate sends it across the hall. Speaker Steven Tilley says even though he filed an economic development bill in the House, he won’t bring it up unless he has to.

He says he made an agreement with Senate leadership about what the House would accept, and as long as the Senate follows that, the House will agree…if the Senate passes it over.

Tilley says the House was able to work together as a team to get bills passed quickly, and the Senate could learn something from that teamwork.
