A “Ten for Joplin” project has been announced that will see ten homes built in a 16 day period beginning October 29. The Tulsa and Joplin Habitat for Humanity groups say their goal is to get people into those homes by Thanksgiving.

Tulsa’s Habitat director, Paul Kent, says his group is willing to risk losing funding for between 15-20 homes in Tulsa to be built in the spring to make Ten for Joplin happen.

The project will cost 800 thousand dollars and half of that has been donated already, by businesses from Joplin and Tulsa.
