A federal prosecutor says a Jackson man confessed to his father of killing his wife.

In an appearance in federal court, the prosecutor said Clay Waller told his father he murdered Jacque Waller and buried her body.

Jacque’s mother says she was aware of the cofession.

“We knew this was all going to come out because we had heard that several months ago … but we didn’t know that it was ever going to come out in the news that he had confessed,” she says. “We’re not surprised by it but we hope it has a good outcome. You never know how it’s going to come out.”

Waller has not yet been charged with killing his wife. He is in custody on unrelated charges; most recently making a threat on the internet. Jacque Waller went missing June 1st.
