Springfield Mayor Jim O’Neal said he’s almost certain City Council on Tuesday will approve a proposed ordinance called E-Verify, that the Ozark Minutemen say will deter businesses from hiring unlawful workers. But the mayor predicts council will meet the next day to begin discussing how to change the ordinance.
He says expects a lot of work and a lot of conflict  at a Wednesday night workshop already added to council’s schedule.
