Danario Alexander makes Rams’ roster

September 4, 2011 By Bill Pollock

Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo has called former Mizzou wide receiver Danario Alexander “a tough nut” when referring to his desire to overcome chronic knee problems and fight through the little pains to live out his dream. Alexander will get another year to prove he can make it in the NFL.

The St. Louis Rams reached the NFL-mandated 53-man roster Saturday by waiving the following players: DB Tim Atchison, WR Donnie Avery, TE Demarco Cosby, LB Zac Diles, DB Tae Evans, DT Marlon Favorite, T Renardo Foster, WR Mardy Gilyard, DT John Henderson, T Kevin Hughes, QB Thaddeus Lewis, WR Greg Mathews, T Ryan McKee, DT Daniel Muir, DB Jonathan Nelson, G Quinn Ojinnaka, TE Fendi Onobun, RB Chase Reynolds, DE George Selvie and RB Keith Toston.

Also Saturday, the Rams placed WR Mark Clayton on Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform.
