Two days after submitting his resignation, it has been announced the Superintendent of the Kansas City School District has taken a new job as chancellor of the Michigan Education Achievement Authority. John Covington’s new position is with a statewide organization oversees many of that state’s lowest-performing schools, including many in Detroit.
