The hurricane on the East Coast has caused some Coast Guard command staffers to be relocated to Missouri.
Two Coast Guard C-130s have arrived at St. Louis International Airport. One carried members of the Guard’s command staff from Portsmouth, Virginia. The Guard says the relocation is necessary to prevent a break in command and communications in case Hurricane Irene causes power outages in Virgnia.
