The county collector in northeast Missouri’s Schuyler County for the last 25 years has resigned. A state audit says significant embezzlement appears to have taken place. The Highway Patrol and the FBI are investigating the actions of collector Kathy Roberts. The county prosecutor says he’s waiting for a full state audit to be completed before he decides on charges.
