There is good news and bad news for Mizzou football on the injury front, and they both deal with health of the line.
First the good, the Tigers got defensive ends Brad Madison and Jacquies Smith back from missing time with injuries, the most significant was Madison who was out 10 days with a shoulder sprain.
However, it was the offensive line took a hit. The Tigers already lost left tackle Elvis Fisher for the year and they’re waiting for starting center Travis Ruth to recover from a strained Achilles’ tendon. His return should come soon, but yesterday, guard Austin Wuebbels left practice with a neck injury. He had to turn his whole body to look around. After practice, head coach Gary Pinkel was told it’s all soft tissue, which is a good sign, but Pinkel is just not sure when Wuebbels will be able to return.
