A total of 16 thousand dollars in donations will go toward repair of a Joplin park destroyed by the May 22nd tornado.
The McCalister’s Deli chain held a national, online contest and Joplin won a 7,500 dollar prize, which the Joplin franchise matched. The St. Joseph restaurant’s employees kicked in another 1000.
Joplin’s Park Director says the money will be enough to make Cunningham park bigger and better.
