The Missouri Sheriff’s Association Website is back up after hackers infiltrated it at the end of July. Executive Director Mick Covington says it took some time to restore any of the site.

The Association has been working with the company that hosts its site since the attack. He says a full restoration could take another 6 to 8 weeks. Covington says the site will include all information that was available on it previously.

Personal information for over 7000 law enforcement officers was jeopardized in attacks on that and 76 other websites. Covington says he has no specific knowledge of law officers being effected by their information being released.

The incident is still being investigated.
