The final score was 17-16, but there is not much to celebrate in the Rams second preseason win over the Tennessee Titans. After an 83 yard touchdown pass on the first play from scrimmage, the number one units for the Rams did not play well.

Sam Bradford hooked up with Brandon Gibson on an 83 yard touchdown pass up the middle of the field giving the Rams a 7-0 lead. From there, the Titans outscored the Rams 16-0 and outgained them 209-96. Bradford was picked off on the Rams next possession after the Titans kicked a field goal and with a short field went 19 yards to take a 10-7 lead.

“I do think we’ve got a long way to go based on that first half,” Spagnuolo said. “I’m not real happy with how we ran the ball, I’m not real happy with how we stopped the run.”

Steven Jackson was limited to 10 yards on six carries in his preseason debut and Sam Bradford had no other big plays in the first half finishing 8 of 15 for 138 yards with a TD and an INT.
