The Highway Patrol says 35-year-old Cletis Powell of Neelyville was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident that claimed the life of 18-year-old Alexander Metzing of Poplar Bluff.
Trooper Clark Parrott says they received tips that led them to Powell’s vechicle, with help from the local media asking for information.
Metzing was driving a scooter Sunday evening when he was struck from behind a blue truck reportedly driven by Powell.
