Tyler Colvin’s RBI single in the bottom of the 10th off Cardinals reliever Octavio Dotel drove in Geovany Soto, who tied the game with an RBI double in the eighth, to pull off a 5-4 come from behind win over the Cardinals.

The Cardinals jumped out to a 3-0 lead thanks to an RBI single from starting pitcher Jaime Garcia and a two run homer from Yadier Molina in the second off Cubs’ starter Randy Wells. The Cards were up 4-1 in the fourth on a solo homer from David Freese.

Down 4-1 the Cubs cut the lead to 4-2 on a solo homer from Darwin Barney. The Cubs made it a 4-3 game in the seventh after back to back triples from Barney and Blake DeWitt on misplayed fly balls by Lance Berkman and Jon Jay. In the eighth, Arthur Rhodes walked Carlos Pena and Kyle McClellan gave up a game tying double to Soto.

The Cardinals finished with just five hits in the game. Garcia pitched 6.1 innings and was in line for the win, getting charged with three runs. Dotel falls to 0-2 and McClellan picks up his first blown save.
