Six Los Angeles firefighters are biking through Missouri today; part of a cross-country trip to raise money for two organizations: The Wounded Warrior Project helps veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan and the Denis Leary Firefighter Foundation provides training and equipment for Fire Departments.
The group’s leader, Jim Prabhu, says it has been stopped on the road and given donations, taken in by fire stations across the country and generally have had a very positive trip.Â
The group hopes to reach New York in time for 9-11. Donations to the “Ride for 9-11” can be made online at www.ridefor9-11.org.
