Second man charged in Columbia murder after game

August 16, 2011 By Jessica Machetta

The second of eight people charged in a Columbia shooting death has pleaded guilty. Eighteen-year-old Patrick Marshall, the youngest of the eight, has pleaded guilty to robbery and armed criminal action in the death of Aaron Hobson last year. Hobson had traveled from his Wichita home to Columbia to watch his cousin play for Missouri in the school’s homecoming game.

The prosecutor recommends 20 years in prison for Marshall.

The first of the eight people charged, Daron Peal, pleaded guilty last month to a murder charge.
