Missouri ranks 22nd in the nation for volunteerism. That’s calculated by the percentage of the population giving time to volunteering, mostly with church and school organizations. The St. Louis region is even higher, tenth in the nation. The St. Louis region jumps up one spot still for the number of hours per year donated, which sits just below 40.
