For the third time in just over two months, Bruce Chen has pitched masterfully against the Chicago White Sox, picking up his third win against them this season and continuing the Sox slide at home with a 5-1 Royals win on Friday night.

Chen pitched six scoreless innings allowing just one hit and three walks while striking out four. In his three starts against Chicago, Chen is 3-0 and has allowed just two runs in on eight hits in 20 innings while striking out 12.

Billy Butler homered in the sixth and had an RBI single in the first. Cabrera broke the game open with a three-run homer in the ninth. Alex Gordon singled, doubled, walked twice, scored a run, stole a base and reached on catcher’s interference for the Royals, who snapped a four-game losing streak.
