Top OU linebacker could miss game with Missouri

August 10, 2011 By Bill Pollock

Oklahoma Sooners linebacker Travis Lewis, who is the team’s defensive captain and leading tackler from last season, could miss up to eight weeks after breaking a bone in his left foot, leaving the number one team in the country without one of its top defensive players.

If he misses the full eight weeks, he’ll miss the September 24 matchup with the Tigers. If he were to return before then, I would still wonder how productive he could be.
