Albert Pujols hit his 25th homer of the season and finished a triple shy of hitting for the cycle as the Cardinals come back to finish off the Florida Marlins 7-4.

The Cardinals jumped out to a 3-0 lead on Matt Holliday’s first inning home run off Marlins’ starter Clay Hensley. The lead didn’t last as Cardinal starter Kyle Lohse got hit hard in the first inning, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks including two doubles.

Lohse only made it three innings. Hensley hit Holliday and David Freese with pitches in the third and Skip Schumaker doubled to put St. Louis up 6-3. Pujols snapped a 1 for 16 skid on this road trip and raised his average to .280.
