Chiefs linebacker Tamba Hali will cash in big time after reaching a five-year, $60 million deal that includes $35 million guaranteed. Hali is planning to be in St. Joseph at the Chiefs training camp Thursday afternoon. Hali, who was designated as the Chiefs’ franchise player, led the AFC with 14.5 sacks.

Just over 3,000 fans watched the Chiefs first nighttime practice last night giving the players a break from the heat. Chiefs veterans ineligible to practice were there watching and the new collective bargaining agreement is expected to be finalized today, allowing the league year to begin and veteran free agent signees to practice.
