The St. Louis Rams added some depth behind Steven Jackson by signing back/kick return specialist Jerious Norwood, who spent time with Atlanta.

Norwood has been plagued by injuries, but has a reputation for making the most of limited opportunities with his blazing speed and GM Billy Devaney likes his character. He also has a tie to the Rams. He played his college ball at Mississippi State for current Rams running backs coach Sylvester Croom.

The Rams also added more depth at linebacker, signing Brady Poppinga from Green Bay. Poppinga played six years in Green Bay, posting 244 tackles and five sacks for the Packers.

Spagnuolo has given the team the day off Wednesday but when they return to practice on Thursday.
