Former Rams QB Bulger will retire

August 3, 2011 By Bill Pollock

Veteran quarterback Marc Bulger will retire, according to the Baltimore Sun. Bulger was a backup to Ravens starter Joe Flacco last season.

Bulger told ESPN.com that he was retiring and said he was “excited to continue doing work through my foundation to help the men and women in uniform who risk their lives everyday so we can enjoy the game of football.”

Bulger was a two-time Pro Bowler with the Rams where he passed for 22,814 yards, 122 touchdowns and 93 interceptions in 96 games with St. Louis, including 95 starts.

Bulger is 34.
