Woman found mummified in late daughter’s home

A Jennings woman last seen alive in 1994 continued to get social security checks eacvh month until last February, when her mummified remains were found in her daughter’s home. Relatives found the remains of Gladys Stansbury while going through the cluttered house of her daughter, Gladys Bergmeier, whow as found dead in the house February 7th. Bergmeier was 75.

Authorities say they have no idea how the mother died or when.
