The federal Human Trafficking Rescue Project operating in western Missouri has become part of a national initiative. The new program will link the western Missouri task force with the eastern Missouri federal prosecutor’s office and the federal prosecutor for Kansas to form one of six pilot Anti-trafficking coordination teams.
The western district prosecutor started the Human Trafficking Rescue Project five years ago. It has prosecuted more trafficking cases than any other federal court district in the country.
