Camden County authorities say a 21-year old man has walked into the deep end of a swimming pool at the resort development and has drowned. Officers say the man’s father tried to save him but could not. Paramedics revived the father but could not resuscitate the son.
A Man from the central Missouri community of Syracuse has drowned in the Lake of the Ozarks. The state water patrol says Christopher Powell jumped into the water and did not resurface. Other swimmers pulled him to the surface but he could not be revived.
A man from High Ridge has drowned in the Meramec River while trying to recover a boat that had started floating away from a dock. The water patrol identifies him as Michael Collins.
A Pekin, Illinois, man has drowned in Mark Twain Lake after falling from his fishing boat. The water patro0l says Richard Goodwin was standing in the boat and lost his balance when the boat drifted into a submerged log.
The body of a Hannibal man has been pulled from the Mississippi River. Jason Carl Hartegan was 35. The Ralls County sheriff says an autopsy will provide information about the cause of Hartegan’s death.
