NFL cancels Rams’ HOF game

July 22, 2011 By Bill Pollock

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell announced that the NFL’s Hall of Fame game scheduled for Aug. 7 in Canton, Ohio between the Rams and Chicago Bears would be cancelled.

The time is just too short,” he said. “Unfortunately, we will not be there to play the game there this year.”

Goodell said the Hall of Fame induction ceremonies will go on as planned on Aug. 6. This year’s class of inductees includes former Rams’ star Marshall Faulk, Deion Sanders, Shannon Sharpe and Richard Dent.
