The NFL is denying a report today that the first pre-season game, the Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio on August 7th has been cancelled. The St. Louis Rams are supposed to take on the Chicago Bears.
Yesterday, it appeared there was some progress in the ongoing negotiations between the league and the players. NFL Commissioner Roger Goddell and NFL Players Chief DeMaurice Smith are expected to meet sometime this weekend.
Both sides will be inMinnesota this week where they are scheduled to meet with a Federal mediator and Judge Arthur Boylan.
