Tomorrow marks the thirtieth anniversary of Kansas City’s worst disaster. The collapse of the skywalks at the Hyatt Regency Hotel at a time when the lobby was crowded with dancers killed 114 people an injured an additional 216.  It was the deadliest structural failure in national history at the time. The tragedy remains the third-worst disaster in Missouri history, only trailing the St. Louis tornado of 1896 and the May 22nd Joplin tornado.
