Port holds three shot lead at Women’s Amateur Golf Championships

July 14, 2011 By Bill Pollock

Cooler temperatures were a welcome relief as scores improved during the second round of the MWGA Women’s Amateur Championship at Bellerive Country Club.

McCall Christopher of Indiana State and Catherine Dolan of Missouri State pulled within three shots of Ellen Port as Katrina Choate of Drury dropped back to fourth. Kate Gallagher of the University of Missouri shot a 72 to tie for fourth. Mizzou alumn Kelli Kirchoff shot a 74 to follow in sixth place.
