The St. Louis Cardinals drop their third game in a row as they lose last night to the Arizona Diamondbacks, 7-6. The game would be tied until the 7th, when Kyle Lohse would give up a grand slam to Arizona’s Kelly Johnson. The Cards would try and make a come back as they would score three runs in the bottom of the 8th.
One of those came from the bat of Matt Holliday who hit his fourth home run in four games. Earlier in the game, Lance Berkman hit his 24th home run of the season, which gives him the lead in the National League.
Game three of the series is tonight as Chris Carpenter gets the start forSt. Louis against the D-Backs Daniel Hudson.
