Missouri senior tight end Michael Egnew junior wide receiver T.J. Moe have been named to the pre-season watch lists for the Mackey Award and the Biletnikoff Award, given to the nation’s top tight end and receiver respectively.

Back to the man who the award is Mackey Award is named after, John Mackey. He died at 69. He played with Baltimore and San Diego. Mackey suffered from Dementia for years, which many feel was the result of taking hits to his head during his football days. His wife has agreed to donate his brain for studies.

Mizzou kicker Grant Ressel was named to the pre-season watch list for the Lou Groza Award, which is presented annually to the nation’s most outstanding kicker.
