Royals take series in Chicago

July 6, 2011 By Bill Pollock

The Royals took two out of three from the White Sox winning Wednesday afternoon at U.S. Cellular Field on the South Side 4-1. Bruce Chen got the win, going six innings, allowing four hits, and he walked in the Sox only run of the game and worked out of a couple of jams. Joakim Soria saved his 15th game.

Jeff Francoeur had a couple of RBIs, Eric Hosmer with a second inning homer, then bounced off the top of the wall. His 8th of the season already.

Royals will come home for a series with Detroit. Danny Duffy will face former Mizzou star Max Scherzer.
