The Corps of engineers says some heavy rains in northwest Missouri should not drive up the river elevations at St. Joseph, but should make the river stay high for a longer time.  The Corps says the Missouri River remains at dangerous levels and will stay that way for weeks. It is telling people to stay away from levees unless they have specific business working on them.
