This is the last day on the job for the State FFA Advisor. Doctor Terry Heiman has been in education for 39 years, and has been the Director of Ag Education at DESE since 1984.

With the organization achieving record membership in each of the last few years, Heiman says it was a good time to be a part of Missouri FFA. He says he enjoyed watching education develop from the various positions he has held, but adds the basis of ag education has remained constant.

Dr. Heiman grew up in Forest Green and graduated from Salisbury High School. He received his BS in Agriculture, masters and doctorate from the University of Missouri and taught ag education at Princeton and Trenton Junior College.

He and his wife Suzette have a small beef farm in Chariton County, and he says he will remain involved in agriculture.
