Former Missouri quarterback Tyler Gabbert will transfer to Louisville, as reported by the Louisville Courier-Journal. An official announcement on Gabbert’s decision should come early next week.

Gabbert transferred from Missouri in May, after learning he was listed as the No. 2 QB on Mizzou’s depth chart, behind sophomore James Franklin.

The Gabbert family has an in at Louisville. Their quarterbacks coach Shawn Watson was the offensive coordinator at Nebraska when both Gabbert brothers (Tyler and Blaine) gave verbal commits to play for the Cornhuskers. Gabbert will have to sit out the upcoming season.
