David Freese and Nick Punto both went 2 for 4 in their return from the DL and Colby Rasmus and Matt Holliday homered as the offense found some life against Baltimore in a 6-2 win over the Orioles.

The Cardinals got five innings out of Kyle Lohse for the win and two shutout innings of relief from Lance Lynn. However, in the eighth, Ryan Franklin continued to struggle. He went a third of an inning, allowing two runs and three hits including a home run. Fernando Salas, the closer had to get the final five outs in a non-save situation. A decision could be coming in the next day or two on what the Cardinals are going to do with Franklin. Over his past four outings, Franklin has been charged with nine runs on 14 hits in six innings, giving up five home runs and three doubles.
