Flags to fly at half staff for fallen soldier from Jasper

A fallen soldier from Joplin is being honored by Governor Nixon. He has ordered that the US and Missouri flags at all state buildings be flown at half-staff tomorrow to honor 37-year-old Staff Sergeant Edward F. Dixon the third, who was killed June 18th while serving the Army in Afghanistan. In addition, Nixon’s ordering those flags to be flown at half-staff throughout Jasper County from July 5th to July 10th.
